Best Wealth Management Firm

UBS is the best Wealth Manager in the world. Being a swiss bank you don't hear about them as much as you might a JP Morgan, GS, etc in the States. Their CEO openly states that UBS's wealth management is at the core of their business. There is not a lot of info on UBS so just wanted to post about it here. Feel free to message if you have any questions, would glad to help.

How so? What are you metrics when it comes to making that statement? UBS is the largest private bank in the world in AUM. Over half the worlds billionaires bank with UBS to name a few. JP Morgan is first an Investment Bank - what I mean by that is, it is where the firm focuses more of its time and energy. The private banking division comes afterwards. UBS is in the wealth management business first. The executives have stated this many times, they focus on wealth management, and investment banking, asset management, etc comes afterwards in the level of importance(if you want to call it that).

Over half of the Forbes 400 banks with JPM PB

Best for whom? There is no best. If this is centered around the advisor, this could be best resources, best outcomes, best clients, best access to markets, best blah blah blah. Full disclosure, I'm an independent. Know many independents that earn more than 95% of all the BB type shops advisors AND they own their own book. Also know lots of independents who have failed, lots who made the transition from wire / BB to independent successfully, etc. It's really about who you are, what environment works best for you. Lots of ways to make 7 figures in this industry. Lots of ways to never make it work too.

Hi Rickle, i was wondering if you knew much about the UK shop "St James's Place". I think they're an independent or a form of wirehouse (think they develop their own products?) but was curious if you knew what type of firm they are. They've just opened an office in Dubai, do we think there is opportunity out there in the middle east for someone who hasn't built a book yet? (Can't imagine anybody would jump ship with established clientele)

Sorry to hijack the thread :(
