RX Exit Ops... GE/VC?

How possible is it to exit to a growth equity or VC coming from a top tier RX group (think PJT RSSG, HL, Laz RX)?

How easy it is to pitch your story/interest in GE/VC to HH and firms? The obvious route is for these places to pick from TMT analysts and for credit HFs, distress investors to pick from RX analysts.

do u work in RX? you must have been interested in RX / distressed to get to where you are today. What made you decide to switch to VC/GE? just very curious about your thought process!

Yea I work in Rx at a top EB. To be honest, I picked Rx simply because it was the best offer I got out of undergrad... best in terms of “prestige”, comp, etc etc.

Recently I’ve been thinking about what actually interests me... I basically asked my far future self (15+ years) what I want to be doing... and the answer was investing and growing startups, tech companies, and looking at other industries that will be disrupted

It's very hard. The biggest thing in your favor for that route is modeling but modelling is of much higher preference in buyout and much much less so for VC and GE where the main emphasis is on understanding the industry
