Answer is it depends on the desk and on the bank…

• For equities you’ll probably arrive around 6:30AM and by gone by about 5:00-5:30PM

• FX and Futures: you may finish a bit later 6:30AM to about 6:00-6:30PM

• Credit (Corporate bonds): depends on the geographies you’re covering and what time the desks that you tag-team with (in other geographies) arrive… For instance if your desk covers Aussie + US markets, then you might have to stay until 8PM to cover until the US desks open but you’ll probably aso start around 8:00-8:30AM too (note this only applies if you are in trading - not sales - and if you are trading your own book (which you won’t be in your first year)) - this kind of setup really depends on the desk though. In your first year or so as an analyst you’ll probably be in 6:30-6:30 or 7

A good rule of thumb is 6:30AM to approx 5:30PM or 6:30PM Monday to Friday
