Physical OG trading opps

Hey, incoming intern in a big oil/gas company in France and wanted to get some advice (apologies if there are mistakes).

I will be joining a finance BO/MO team in the trading floor of the french HQ for 6 months and was wondering whether this first experience could translate into something more FO and market/trading role for the next internships and graduate programs.

For a bit of background, french top tier B-school, a previous experience in equity research, and this is my first 6 month internship (still got another one to do, and even an additionnal one after graduation if necessary, pretty normal in France).

I fully want to go the physical route and absolutely don't mind starting in something not "sexy" if it provides good foundation. Any advice on what I can do during and following this internship?

Much appreciated
