Transferring Universities?

I'm a freshman who goes to a non-target school. Although we have a program dedicated to landing people in investment banks on wall street, I'm still worried about alumni connections as well as actual opportunities open to me. At my school, I've joined 3 organizations and I founded a PE/VC club. I have a 4.0 and I'm considering transferring to at least a semi-target. If for some reason, I can't get into a better school for my sophomore year, is it worth transferring to a better school for my junior year? How does that help my recruiting chances or does the degree not even matter at that point? Thank you!
