UNC Kenan Flagler Vs. Darden
I recently got accepted into darden and UNC for MBA. I am in state student for UNC. However, i was wondering which program is better for corporate finance/investment banking? Darden teaching method is case method but can I really learn the techniques involved in finance by just reading cases? however if i do take darden then is my chances of getting a job in finance is better? Being an electrical engineer, and having no experience in finance, i am not really sure which school is better? please help!
darden
^ yep. great finance school. just because its case doesn't mean you wont work your tail off. strong alumni bases at both, but as far as finance and banking opportunities go, darden's your best bet.
Darden
if i ever get into Darden's FT MBA program i will be doing backflips.
congratulations and go with UVA.
Lots of Darden grads in my associate class a few years ago. Congrats. Be prepared though, they tell me that Darden works you pretty damn hard (compared to other top b-schools).
