Cheap MP3 player for Rowing Machine
I'm looking for a cheap MP3 player that I can use while on the ergonometer (i.e one that I can wear around my neck). About two years ago I bought one from LondonTech and it became unplayable after a month (the headphone socket became damaged) and I don't want to go down that route again. The criteria are:
- 1 GB or better capaicty
- Under $100
- Must be able to hang it from my neck
- PC compatible (I don't have a Mac nor do I intend to)
- Shock protection
- Reasonable product life span (esp in terms of the socket)
Did you row in college?
what always worked for me is an extension cord for the headphone so u can just put ur ipod on teh floor and swing cord over ur back.
I didn't row in college and I don't have an IPod. I've tried using an extension cord for my CD Player but whatever I do it just gets tangled up when I'm rowing hence my need for something I can wear around my neck.
MobiBlu 1500i 1GB.
Target sells it for $55..
cheaper than shuffle, and you get screen..
I got it for 100 about a year an a half ago, still works great..
ipod shuffle - you can clip it to your shirt
^definitely the ipod shuffle. I GB, clips to anywhere, and costs only 79 bucks. Plus it comes i n5 different colors, neat!
sony
you didnt row in college and you're gonna start doing the erg? wow thats admirable, i rowed in college and everytime i see the erg, i get bad memories
either way, my vote is for the ipod shuffle
Get a shuffle. No moving parts means you can beat it around pretty hard and it won't break.
I've been using mine almost every day at the gym for a year and a half and have had no problems.
