Transitioning from Consulting to the Investment Industry

Hi everyone, so hold a bachelor's degree in Economics and a minor in Applied Statistics (with honors) from Syracuse University in the U.S., as well as postgraduate qualifications in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and in Management (Finance concentration) from Imperial College London. Currently working in the Consulting industry for Accenture (almost 2 years now) in an emerging market (Nigeria), while actively exploring exit opps to transition from Consulting to the Investment landscape in a more developed market like South Africa or the U.S. as I'm not gaining as much financial modelling experience/exposure as I hoped to gain in Consulting, hence trying to change this. Well aware work visa sponsorship will potentially make this transition to a more developed market challenging, but I hope my qualifications will at least give me a chance.

Does anyone here have any suggestions/advice? Any suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)
