Just curious on views if jobs in DCM or ECM are more secure long-term due to transferability to most banks vs. industry coverage? I have been considering a switch given WLB but don’t want to do so at the expense of security.

ECM is dead for last two years and there have been lay offs in pretty much all banks.
If you are in NY ECM is the best
i disagree, if anything, those more or less pigeon hole you in those product groups
M&A, you get better looks to go PE/Corp Dev etc.
Coverage? you get better sector knowledge and can go corporates as well or even government
