Seeking Advice on Hedge Fund to Wealth Management Career Transition

My background is quant macro trading for hedge funds/family offices in major cities. Around 20 years of experience. I'm from a mid-sized regional city and moved back to help aging family which wasn't the best career move but priorities change. There are virtually no firms here that value my skills and experience so I started my own boutique RIA but finding clients is cold sales and I'm not very good at it. I've talked to some local firms but it is mostly selling overpriced annuities/insurance and eat what you kill. I've been reading about private bank strategist roles or portfolio manager roles but they all seem to have a sales focus. I'm not against doing some client facing stuff and selling, but hard sales won't be a good fit, if it was I'd stay solo. In theory, I could find a job as a strategist/portfolio manager with a client facing component where I could gain clients gradually while earning a living. Seeking some input from those with experience on the types of roles and firms that might work. If my theory is unrealistic, hearing that would be helpful too. Thx
