If you are covering something like Utilities or Paper or Building Products, how will this be viewed if you end up wanting to make the jump to HF or B-School? Does it really matter as long as you are with a well ranked team? I know for certain sectors like Biotech and Oil & Gas it can be too specialized, though those are also popular sectors for HFs to invest in.
Obviously you want to be interested in the sector you cover, but the opportunities don't always line up that way, and even if you do enjoy those sectors, it would be nice to keep the opportunities open.
