Comp question
Just wondering, which typically pays more at the undergrad entry level - sell-side ER at a bulge bracket bank, or consulting at MBB?
Thanks in advance.

i think ER at BB. but take my advice with a grain of salt, i'm still in school.
Any front office position in banking will pay more than any consulting position b/c of bonus.
are bonuses for equity research usually significant at BB banks? Even with a base around 65-70K?
sell side ER for sure.
MBB people make 70-80K all year and work far harder than research analysts. Research 1st years pull around the same as 1st years in S&T and slightly less than IB
I agree with big unit, but it depends on the firm and how good your analyst is rated.
1st year ER at a BB should easily do $100k all in. Base pay will be similar to consulting at MBB, but those guys get hardly any bonus. 1st year ER bonus should be ~50% of base, give or take.
