Advice - Didn't get a job
Hey guys, recruiting season has come and gone and I didn't get a job. I didn't make it to the final round for RJ and that was basically the only good job at career fair (I still interviewed for several jobs but in the end didn't take any). I am searching through many sites and trying to make connections to get a job.
Basically what should I do? I am leaning towards spending my spring studying for L2 of the CFA and ensuring a pass. I figured with L2 done, I will get a much better chance at landing a good ER job. The only problem is I won't get results until August.
I am of course still going to be job hunting. I will probably attend the career fair again in spring as an alum. I think I will try and target my search towards summer internships as well.
Any advice? Thank you
Random info:
UF Finance undergrad with entrepreneurship minor graduate in Dec
GPA 3.65
One internship at a electrical construction company where I helped write a new business plan to enter the service segment of the industry (basically no actual finance internship)

That is what I'm doing
you have level one and didn't land an ER job? tough market these days. I'm sure you would have got some call backs!
Level I doesn't do shit. Everyone has level I. Be patient and persistent, and continue with your CFA, while networking and building relationships. I was in the same boat and being non-target, it took me a long time. I would start with your alumns and HR recruiters. Only a handful of spots open up a year and you're going to need someone to bat for you. good luck.

In europe, no one has level one. Most ER people have one degree and that's it (albeit it's from Oxford, Cambridge or LSE)
