How does comp vary by strategy in credit?
I'm joining a credit fund as a junior analyst after graduating and am curious how comp varies by strategy, especially at the junior level. It seems from the comments on compensation posts that pay varies widely, but rarely do posts mention strategy.
Does anyone have color on comp in Distressed, Opportunistic, Real Estate, Direct Lending, EM? I imagine pay scales with risk, but I am curious by how much.
Prospect in Private Credit, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:

Pay depends on the firm. There are DL funds which pay more than mezz funds and vice versa.
I am working at a multi strategy asset manager (we do DL and mezz) and both strategies pay exactly the same.
Two sliding scales, AUM and strategy. The more AUM the more the comp. The less vanilla the strategy, the more the comp.
