Chicago PC/DL firms

Would love some insight into firms and “rankings” in Chicago.

Analyst programs, only take associates and above?
Comp trajectory?
Types of debt they work with/size of companies/sponsors they lend too.

Any and all help/insights would be appreciated!

Hey PCintern, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:

Hope that helps.

To get this thread started Golub, HPS, Silverpoint, Comvest, Monroe, Whitehorse, Apogem, vista credit, sixth street, Antares, Ares to name few. Not in PC anymore but this is what I recall.

Anyone have insight into any of these firms?

Haha fair enough. I’ll ask a more specific question then. Out of all the firms you listed which usually have people from IB to PC versus which take on analysts and build them up.

The vast majority of those firms that were listed do not have analyst programs. As far as I know, the only private credit fund that has an analyst program in Chicago is Maranon Capital - my buddy’s brother interned there a few years ago and he raved about the internship experience and exposure. Seems like exits have also been pretty decent - PE, special sits, family offices, corp dev, etc
