What are some things you enjoy about your job?

I’m currently an a2 and potentially interested in CD. Aside from better hours, I am wondering what are some things you enjoy about you job and role

How about things you dislike?

I understand everyone’s experience can differ depending on group and firm so would be good to also know your level and type of firm etc.

Thank you

I will caveat that I really enjoy my company and my role in the company is valued highly (I am probably overvalued tbh).

I enjoy being a part of our strategy and doing M&A to build our platform moving forward. Instead of doing deals and moving onto the next one like banking can be, for us it’s doing a deal and figuring out how we can do the next one to compliment our current capabilities/geographies/etc. I also get a lot of exposure to our executives and my thoughts are valued at that level as well.

CD like all things can be hit or miss but if you find a spot where CD is a highly valued part of the organization it can be a great role with high potential for advancement within that company.
