Fp&a vs M&a to Corporate Dev

Hello everyone,

I have a big question for you.

I am now looking for a final internship before my graduation (ms from a top 5 French bs). I have two kind of opportunities: my dreaming company as fp&a analyst or an internship in m&a ibd. My ultimate goal will working in the corporate dev of this company. What is the best path : doing 2-5y m&a and then apply in this company or starting with an internship then full time job in fp&a and try to move internally ?

Thank you all !
