First year analyst sugar coating?

Im 23, fresh grad, & have been at a fortune 250 company for around 8 months now and support a specific IT group so I work closely with IT senior managers & directors. I’m wondering If anyone else has experienced this weird phenomenon where it’s like everything is sugar coated towards you?? I present to senior IT leadership & it’s like there’s no criticism?? And whatever criticism there may be its extremely sugar coated with statements like “we understand that you’re new”

If my deck sucks I want to be told my deck sucks lol

Have any other young analyst been sugar coated to by senior leadership?? It makes it hard to determine if you’re actually performing well. Advice is appreciated
