Global Rates Team at an asset manager
I'm trying to better understand what the global rates team does at an asset management firm. From my understanding, the asset manager would have researchers, traders, and PA's/PM's across munis, US corporates, emerging markets, etc. Would a portfolio analyst on the rates team be responsible for managing interest rate risk across all those fixed income assets the asset manager owns?
